While I enjoy reading many books and stories, I did not enjoy this one. I understand why he would right the story, so people would know and understand why it is not okay to plagiarize other people's writing. But the story jumped around quite a lot and did not interest me very much. Although I did like how he wrote his book to get the point across that ferrets could become extinct if the prairie dogs get poisoned. Now the story that plagiarized his writing did not seem like a good book. Not only did she not come up with her own original thoughts, she completely went in a totally random direction with the facts about the ferrets. The ferrets could have just scared them, and then continued on with the story instead of stealing someone else's writing. Although plagiarizing is wrong, she could have at least plagiarized someone else's book that went along with her story instead of a completely random topic. Reading this story was rather strange but it did help me to understand why I should never plagiarize someone else's work. While many people may think that it is okay to "steal" other people's work, it can harm the original writer and it's not right for that person to get credit for something they didn't write.
