Response to Mother Tounge

Languages are pretty fascinating. There are so many different ways to communicate. I personally think that when you are texting and talking by email or social media that in itself is a language. Only in that language it is very hard to understand the voice and meaning. I didn’t know there were different types of English besides the accent. I don’t understand where shes from that her English is different? I find it funny that she had to call people for her mom and yell and complain to them. She said her mothers English had an effect on limiting her possibilities but she turned out fine. I think it is really cool that despite her mothers improper English she still found interest and became a writer. It is really nice to know that she still could do what she wanted and even help her mom out in doing it. I really liked this story because it made me think about how others can look up to her and how parents really do shape our lifes. This story also makes me laugh because of the challenges she had to face at first and how at the time she was embarrassed but she used it for good.
