I really related myself to this story because I just thought it was funny how he was going to college for something and totally got something else out of it. I relate myself because I think that’s something I would do. I probably would have handled it the same way and I would have been just as confused as he was. So I found it funny. I think the college professor was very smart and a creative teacher because the method he used. It is a good life lesson to make us think and dig deeper. That exactly what he did to his student. I definitely think the professor accomplished more than he wanted to because scudder took a lot more out of it. He learned how to keep looking until you find something different and that’s good because I feel like we always miss something. A lot of people don’t look that deep into things and in a way that is bad. You don’t want to miss anything in life. I don’t really understand the ending and everything that was said. It says that he was bored but I don’t think he was bored I just think that he was confused.

I agree that the college professor taught an important lesson to the young student that you have to really look at things to really see it and fully understand what it is and most thing are more than meets the eye as a zoologist and as a person in everyday life.

I like how you mentioned that the student was necessarily bored, but rather confused as to what the professors intentions were. it was viewpoint I hadn't considered. And I think that college is supposed to help you discover things that you didn't know could be discovered. I believe it is supposed to help people break boundaries and limitations.
