Spanglish is about how Spanish is mixed in with American English. I enjoyed reading it because it has the theme about keeping your cultural roots. Many schools and media influence the use of Spanglish. Kids meet and share cultural differences with just by how they speak, so they often use these new words they learn in their regular vocabulary. It talked about how different even Spanglish is around the U.S. and how these people use it. I think it's important to keep your cultural differences because it's what makes you unique. It is also all one person has really. It's nice to share these differences with others because it influences them to learn more and also establish it into their lives. I liked how it said that most Americans that do not speak Spanish are at least familiar with Spanglish. It seems like a big idea today. It is true how often even big corporations use Spanish words to incorporate the Spanglish language into their ads. I kinda wonder how Spanish has become so influential in America and how it is used so much between everyone here. But I think it is really nice how it has became big because it's all about keeping your roots with your culture.
